Tulip-shaped specials

This collection brings together special tulip-shaped whisky glasses for anyone who wants to look beyond the well-known Glencairn glass. You can choose from the mouth-blown glasses of Amber Glass, the handmade Final Touch glasses with their ultra-thin rim and our own Whisky Royal. Each glass has its own shape and capacity, so you can discover how the glass changes the aroma of the same whisky.

More about [title]

The Amber Glass range runs from compact 100 ml tulip glasses to taller 200 ml glasses, some with a lid, and is also available as a Tasting Box and as a set of six. Final Touch makes its glasses from lead-free DuraShield crystal, reinforced with titanium. Prefer the original? Then take a look at Glencairn Classic or the full collection of tulip-shaped whisky glasses.

Why do some Amber Glass glasses have a lid?

The lid keeps the aromas in the glass while the whisky rests for a moment. It lets a dram open up after pouring without the aroma escaping, and when you lift the lid you get a concentrated first impression on the nose. That is handy at a tasting with several glasses at once. You will find a lid on the G100, G200 and G610, among others.

What does mouth-blown mean, and why is every Amber Glass glass slightly different?

Mouth-blown glass is shaped by hand by a glassblower rather than pressed by a machine. As a result, each glass varies slightly in size and shape; Amber Glass works with a tolerance of about 2 to 3 per cent. That is not a flaw but a hallmark of craftsmanship. Because this glass is thin and delicate, wash it by hand and not in the dishwasher.

Which Amber Glass shape suits which whisky?

The G600 has an oval bowl inspired by the blender's glass, which particularly enhances the aromas of light whiskies from Smooth & Fruity. The G410 is a roomier, lower tulip that works across the whole M4W Flavour Compass. The G100 and G300 are compact 100 ml glasses for small measures during a tasting. If you want to compare, choose an Amber Tasting Box with two different shapes.

What is Final Touch DuraShield crystal?

DuraShield is the lead-free crystal Final Touch uses for its glasses, reinforced with titanium for extra strength. This allows the rim to be ultra-thin and cold-cut, which feels pleasant on the lips, while the glass can still go in the top rack of the dishwasher. The 195 ml tulip glass is available on its own, as a set of two and in the Flight Tasting set with a wooden holder.

What is the Mood4Whisky Whisky Royal?

The Whisky Royal is our own 240 ml tulip-shaped whisky glass for those who enjoy a generous pour. The roomy bowl gives your whisky space to swirl and the 5 cm opening guides the aromas to your nose. The glass comes in a black gift box. For tastings or a whisky club there is a trade pack with six glasses for the price of five.
