A Scottish Highland cow looking up at you from the coaster as your glass is filled. These slate coasters by Just Slate Company are a sturdy, atmospheric detail for anyone who likes a story with their drink.
A gift that goes beyond the practical, for instance for the birthday or housewarming of someone who holds Scotland close to their heart. As a set of four, they are ideal for a small tasting. Put a Highland single malt on top and the circle is complete. Prefer wood? The Highland cow design is also available in Scottish oak.
Slate is a natural stone: every coaster has its own markings and edge, and no two are exactly alike. Clean with water and a cloth only; if the stone turns a little grey over time, rub it with a drop of olive oil and it will regain its deep, dark colour.
Whisky is a ritual for me, and the small things around it complete that ritual. I choose accessories that are beautiful to look at and pleasant to use.
