For the collector: a true exclusive, created especially for the 30th anniversary of Bresser & Timmer, in a limited edition of 630 bottles.
Only 630 bottles of this blend were made, as an anniversary gift from Compass Box to importer Bresser & Timmer. I love that you can taste that celebratory character: dark fruit, chocolate and warm spice. Open it for an anniversary of your own, or put it away as a piece of whisky history.
'Amici ad vitam' is Latin for 'friends for life'. The name suits the occasion: Compass Box created this blend specially for the 30th anniversary of whisky importer Bresser & Timmer. Only 630 bottles were made, making it a true anniversary bottling in a very limited edition.
A combination of ex-bourbon casks, oloroso sherry casks and French oak. The sherry casks bring ripe dark and dried fruit, the French oak adds spice and structure, and the bourbon casks provide a soft, sweet base. Together they create the rich, layered style that is typical of blender John Glaser.
Either works; it depends on what the bottle means to you. With 630 bottles, it is of interest to collectors; in that case, keep it upright, in the dark and unopened. If you want to drink it, choose a special moment and enjoy it neat with dark chocolate or spiced cake. At 48% ABV, you can add a drop of water if you like.
