More about [title]
The range comes from specialist makers, many of them Scottish, such as Glencairn Crystal, Just Slate Company, Glen Appin of Scotland and Selbrae House, complemented by Final Touch, Arnstadt Kristall and Cumbria Crystal. If you know what you are after, go straight to whisky glasses, hip flasks & hunting flasks, coasters or gift sets. Not sure which whisky goes with it? The M4W Flavour Compass will point you in the right direction.
How do you put together a complete whisky set for home?
Think in combinations. A tulip-shaped glass with a pipette or a small water jug is the basis for tasting whisky neat. If you also enjoy it over ice, add a tumbler and an ice mould for large ice spheres. A coaster protects your table and a glass holder keeps your glasses together. With a tasting guide or notebook you can record what you taste.
Where do Mood4Whisky's whisky glasses and accessories come from?
A large part comes from Scotland. Glencairn Crystal is a family business from East Kilbride, and Just Slate Company makes engraved glassware and slate accessories. The crystal tumblers from Arnstadt Kristall come from Thuringia in Germany, and Cumbria Crystal makes its lead crystal by hand in the north of England, on the edge of the Lake District. We also have our own glasses, such as the Whisky Taster and the Whisky Royal.
What is a good whisky gift on a small budget?
A single Glencairn glass or our Whisky Taster in gift packaging is an affordable present that every whisky lover will use. An engraved tasting glass, a pipette or a few coasters also fit a small budget and still feel personal. If you would like to spend a little more, take a look at the gift sets or the engraved glasses.
How do you pair a glass or accessory with a bottle of whisky as a gift?
Match the accessory to the style of the whisky. A smoky Islay whisky from Smoky & Powerful pairs well with an engraved Islay Skyline glass or a sturdy tulip glass. A bourbon or rich whisky from Rich & Sweet that is enjoyed over ice goes with a tumbler and an ice mould. A light whisky from Smooth & Fruity suits an elegant stemmed glass. The M4W Flavour Compass helps you determine the style.
Can you buy whisky glasses in larger quantities for a whisky club or tasting?
Yes. Our Whisky Taster and Whisky Royal are available in a trade pack in which you get six glasses for the price of five. The Glencairn glass and the Amber Glass Tasting Set are also available as six-packs in trade packaging. That way everyone at the table has the same glass, which makes comparing whiskies fairer. If you order as a business, our terms and conditions for businesses apply.
